House GOPers Urge Senate Leaders to Require Campaigning Democrats to Recuse from Impeachment Trial
WASHINGTON—Twenty-six Republican House members are urging Senate leaders to require five Democratic senators who are campaigning for their party’s 2020 presidential nomination to recuse themselves from the upper chamber’s impeachment trial if it is held.
Every Senate Democrat who filed for President should recuse themselves from impeachment proceedings; they have devoted themselves to replacing @realDonaldTrump at the ballot box and are incapable of rendering an impartial verdict in an impeachment trial. https://t.co/dKbvKbNUDs— Rep.
