Trump to hold rally in Rep. Van Drew's swing district in New Jersey
7 Jan 2020 — #2020
President Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally in a district where he recently convinced a U.S. lawmaker to switch to the Republican party. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.) flipped parties after House Democrats impeached Trump. Van Drew narrowly won his first federal election in 2018.
President Trump is showing loyalty to the one Democrat that looked at the impeachment proceedings in the House and saw a political farse so disgusting that he had to switch parties. And just when you thought the Democrats couldn't get any more predictable, here comes another Kennedy (by marriage) to swoop in and take what's rightfully theirs. After all, they are Democrat royalty.
Just announced: 3 weeks from tomorrow, President Trump to hold rally on Wildwood Boardwalk at the Convention Center. The place has listed capacity of 7,000. Not so coincidental timed visit in Congressman Jeff Van Drew’s home district soon after party switch. @FOX29philly pic.twitter.com/Z1Nk2usfjF— Steve Keeley (@KeeleyFox29) January 6, 2020
Rep. Jeff Van Drew told me this morning that he will accompany Donald Trump on Air Force One when the president visits Wildwood, NJ on January 28 for a Keep America Great rally.— David Wildstein (@wildstein) January 7, 2020
Amy Kennedy, the wife of ex-Rep. Patrick Kennedy, is vying to oust Jeff Van Drew, the former Democratic congressman who pledged loyalty to Trump. https://t.co/Ijfmj2BAuP— Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) January 7, 2020
When I watched Jeff Van Drew abandon the Democratic Party and become a Trump apologist, I had to act. This morning I announced my campaign to challenge Van Drew here in South Jersey because our leaders have lost their moral compass. https://t.co/Rkh53kBbN3— Amy Kennedy (@AmyKennedy715) January 6, 2020
