The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals lifts block on $3.6 billion for Trump border wall plan

A divided federal appeals court has lifted a lower court’s order blocking $3.6 billion in military construction funds that President Donald Trump planned to use to finance an expanded and improved border wall.
In a stunning reversal of the lower court ruling, the 5th Circuit Court lifted the block on $3.6 billion of military construction funds the Trump administration plans to use on border wall construction.
In explaining its decision, the 5th Circuit panel's majority referenced a Supreme Court stay of a similar injunction issued last summer by a federal judge in California, also noting there was a "substantial likelihood" of the plaintiffs lacking legal standing.
