Trump allies explore buyout of One America News Network seeking to compete with Fox News
Allies of President Trump are pursuing an effort to acquire right-leaning news channel One America News Network, according to people familiar with the matter, in a bid to shake up a conservative media market that has been dominated by Fox News.
Competition from the right for Fox News would be a welcome development. Without it, they will feel free to continue their slow drift to the left as conservatives really have no other choice, and the executives at Fox know it.
Enter Hicks Equity Partners and their play to purchase the One America News network, a right-leaning start-up network that has begun to gain some traction.
As far-fetched as it sounds, nothing lasts forever. Remember, Fox News came to dominate network news by establishing itself to the RIGHT of all other networks at the time.
