John Kerry about Shokin: "We knew that in order for Ukraine to survive and emerge victorious from the revolution, after the Maidan, they had to get rid of that prosecutor."
While campaigning for Joe Biden, the former Secretary of State openly admitted that he and others in the administration, including Obama himself, were actively involved in the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who at the time, was actively investigating Burisma, the company for which Hunter Biden sat on the Board.

I will tell you because as Secretary of State I was deeply involved in this. All of us in the administration were trying to get rid of [Shokin] — from Obama to the Secretary of State to the Vice President — all of us were working on that — the Ambassador — and, and, we knew if Ukraine was going to survive and win the revolution in the end — the Maidan — they had to get rid of that prosecutor. And they did.
It was just last week that former prosecutor Viktor Shokin filed a formal complaint against Joe Biden for interference in the legal proceedings of Ukraine.
