Speaking in front of a pro-abortion crowd on the steps of the Supreme Court, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer appeared to threaten the high court's two newest conservative members.
Activists had gathered for a rally in support of the Center for Reproductive Rights, which was due to argue a major abortion rights case before the court today.
While speaking passionately in support of abortion rights, Schumer may have taken it too far when he said, “And they're taking away fundamental rights. I want to tell you Gorsuch! I want to tell you Kavanaugh! You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price! You won't know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions!”

UPDATE: Supreme Court Justice Roberts weighed in Wednesday afternoon with a statement lambasting Schumer.
“Threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous,” Roberts wrote. Read his full statement below.
