The Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Friday announced it was changing the debate qualification rules, effectively blocking the only female candidate left in the race from participating, all while senior party leaders blame misogyny for the failures of women candidates — within their own primary!
The Hill reports the new qualifying standards for the upcoming Arizona debate will leave only the top two contenders on stage. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) did not meet the single qualifying factor: earning at least 20 percent of the delegates awarded as of March 15.
After the decision was announced, Gabbard made a direct appeal to the Sanders and Biden camps, tweeting, “I’m sure you would agree that our Democratic nominee should be a person who will stand up for what is right. So I ask that you have the courage to do that now in the face of the DNC's effort to keep me from participating in the debates.”
“To keep me off the stage, the DNC again arbitrarily changed the debate qualifications. Previously they changed the qualifications in the OPPOSITE direction so Bloomberg could debate. I ask that you stand w/ me against the DNC’s transparent effort to exclude me from the debates,” she added.

Even with six states set to vote on Tuesday, Gabbard is very unlikely to reach the 20 percent delegate threshold beforehand. The DNC made sure to set the bar high enough to block her from the debate even if she outperforms expectations. Joe Biden's sudden momentum swing after winning just one state is the perfect case study of how quickly things can change (if allowed).
Just this week, Nancy Pelosi blamed “misogyny” for the poor performance of female candidates to date, accusing some in her own party of having “their own securities” and blatantly ignoring that Gabbard is still a viable female candidate in the race.
Pelosi: "There's a certain element of misogyny that is there. And some of it isn't really mean-spirited, it just isn't their experience. Many of them will tell you they had a strong mom, they have strong sisters, they have strong daughters, but they have their own insecurities." pic.twitter.com/IPHu5168Se— The Hill (@thehill) March 6, 2020
The level of cognitive dissonance required in order to vote Democrat in the current election cycle is officially off the charts.
People are watching and they are seeing a totally corrupt DNC, who bend the rules to let misogynist Mike Bloomberg into the Debate, exclude Tulsi Gabbard, and are pushing totally corrupt War Criminal Joe Biden who has Senile Dementia.#LetTulsiDebatepic.twitter.com/gDeweVw49i— Ian56 (@Ian56789) March 7, 2020

The DNC could have written "Tulsi Gabbard isn't allowed on the debate stage" and it would have been just as subtle. https://t.co/nn4kxSNMIr
