Hezbollah commander Ali Mohammed Younis was killed by unknown assassins in southern Lebanon on Saturday, Iranian media reported. Younis was “responsible for pursuing spies and collaborators,” according to unofficial statements, the Iranian Fars news agency reported.

According to the report, Younis was also a close associate of the late Qassem Soleimani, the notorious IRGC who was killed in a US airstrike in January.
