WORLD War 3 fears have intensified after India gave the go-ahead to move warships and fighter jets to within striking distance of China in the wake of the escalating border conflict and bloodiest day in Ladakh. While Delhi had initiated the dialogue to contain the conflict in Ladakh, sources close to the matter told the Economic Times the Government now does not want to take any chances, especially after the bloody battle that took place on Monday night.
Indian and Chinese troops clashed with iron rods and stones at their disputed border, resulting in casualties on both sides including the death of at least 20 Indian soldiers, Indian officials said, in a major escalation of a weeks-old standoff.
